How many times have I begun with "it's been awhile, huh?" when beginning a new post? Ahaha, probably too many to count.
Well, it has been awhile. Let's update everyone on what I've been up to, all right?
Since my last post, I've started college life at Rockhurst University. I'm not surprised if you haven't heard of it. It's small. I'd say it's the size of a big high-school. Tuition runs in the 20,000's because it's private. But don't freak out just yet. I'm not rich. I HAVE SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND LOANS! For the 2008-2009 term, I had to borrow $3000 which I probably won't pay back until I consolidate the loans from graduate school too, that is, when I get to graduate school, of course. ANYWAY. I fared pretty well last semester. I managed to pull a GPA of 3.7 from the following classes:
General Chemistry I/Lab
Calculus II/Lab
General Biology I/Lab
English Composition
Freshmen in Science Seminar
Finals week was a bee-yotch. I slept at school. Oh, I forgot to mention that I don't live on campus. Instead, I commute. Yes, I can drive. I do have a car. It's a dark grey 2007 Toyota Camry with hints of sparklies in the sunlight. I wish it was a hybrid. My friend has one and it's as silent as a ninja. D:
It's currently spring semester for me. Duh. It is most likely that for some of you guys too, right? JA! Okay, I've been missing way too many classes. Ahaha, I still have senior-itis from high-school. I am really bored. I choose to have fun over school work. Don't get confused. I don't do parties. Not the typical college parties one would often hear of. I don't drink alcohol nor do I smoke. Thank you. My schedule just conflicts with my friend's schedule so I always end up doing some random activity that happens to be more interesting than attending class. OR! I oversleep, run errands, etc. I'm going to do better in the fall. Less skipping. I must get that 4.0 or I won't get my promised UGG boots. LOL.

Yes, I am taking honors' courses in college. The main reason is that I get to register for classes at the same time as seniors so I don't have to worry about not being able to get the schedule that I want. But it does come with a ridiculous price. The classes are supposed to be more challenging than the norm but they're not. If anything, they're probably easier or exactly the same. Dood, our class sizes are already small. Taking honors just puts you with all the other bright kids. I'm not saying that people who aren't in the honors program aren't bright. Believe me, they are whether they're in or not but a lot of them are taking honors to register first. So everyone knows everyone on our already small college campus which is cool. We're also required to participate in activities. I HATE REQUIREMENTS, but whatev. I'm doing all right so far. B's in my science courses and A's in my core classes. Now that my favorite drama is over. BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS! Otherwise known as the infamous Hana Yori Dango, version Korea. Yeah, it was a good part of my life when I anticipated the release of a new episode but I'm bored now. Must find a new interest.
What do I want to be when I grow up? Drum roll please...a doctor. I've made up my mind to go into the field of medicine. I'll probably specialise in anesthesiology. It's only a dream right now. Just thinking about all the cramming that I'll have to do for the MCAT give me the cringes. I entered this school befriending a few Asian seniors and now they're all graduating except one who is the bestest friend I have right now.
Recent news? I have a puppy. He's a Siberian husky with blue eyes. But he doesn't have what my friend refers to as the "penis" on his forehead. Instead it's a "vagina." Yeah...he has an interesting imagination when it comes to description. *facepalm* The pup's name is Wolfgang. Yes, from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Plus, he's the closest thing you can get to a wolf. He even looks like one. My friend and I bought him half and half off of this guy from the local newspaper. No shots yet. He's almost 7 weeks old. One more week then I'll try to take him to the non-profit clinic for free shots since y'know, I'm a poor and broke college student. WHO ISN'T, RIGHT? It's been tough trying to take care of him because I live in an Asian home and my Asian home doesn't tolerate PET STINK. No one watches him during the noon times so he poops and pisses in the back room. It screws up his training when no one takes him outside. I don't even know if he understands my commands but I'll just hope he does. OPTIMISM, plz.
Today, my friend customized two HP laptops. One is mine. I'll have to pay it off by the end of June to avoid interest. I HATE INTEREST. I ph33r it for some reason. Each laptop runs a little under $700 with 320GB. What am I going to do with all of that space? I'm not a computer geek so I don't know the other specs but I guess they're good enough for the price that I am getting the laptop at? I don't really have a use for it now that finals week is coming up. I'm relieved the the semester is over. I want a long break to get back on track. But, I'll have to find a job since everyone is laid off in my family and no one is working and we can't survive off of government money for too long. Why? It's not enough for anything! I wish that I can be high maintenance for once but I never have money. My first goal is to get the set of braces that I've wanted for so long. Yes, I have a crap smile and I want it straight so then I can whiten it and hopefully lead a better lifestyle because of it.
I don't really know what else to write but I hope it is enough to keep Shelley and everyone else happy that they can know what I am up to. Don't worry, I actually enjoy other people's insight into my life. As long as the behavior doesn't get stalkerish then I'm cool with that. I'm going to sleep now so I can catch up on school work tomorrow morning. Good night and God bless everyone. Even if you don't believe in God or a god or whatever. Heh. Yes, I'm planning to convert to Catholicism. I still have my Buddhist underlinings. Religion is not a topic that offends me. Don't be afraid, okay?
